I'd like to say a couple things about your post. First, I was there that night, up on the LSO platform, and I watched helplessly as 620 flew into the water. I was good friends with Cameron Hall and best friends with Ryan Betton. Believe me, I know exactly where you're coming from when you talk about how hard this hit you.
I do know the results of the investigation and I can assure you that no one in our maintenance department caused this accident. However, I know you've heard that before and I know it doesn't change your attitude about working on planes- nor should it. It's serious business and it should never be taken lightly. However, I flew one of the planes off the ship that det and I wasn't scared at all. I always have full faith in the aircraft I take flying, and in the professionalism of our maintenance department. If I didn't, I wouldn't go flying.
While this hit us all hard, I never for a second blamed any of our maintainers, and neither should you.
Keep doing what you do, and know that our trust is well-placed...
